We cover 40 miles by road from Fruit Cove in St. Johns County. Every distance we publish is drive distance, measured on the road you would actually take, not a straight line on a map.
Every distance below is a drive distance on the road we would actually take, not a radius drawn on a map. Thirty miles across the water is not thirty minutes, and a company that quotes you a straight line is quoting you a marketing figure.
Each page is written around what is actually different about working in that place. Mostly that comes down to when the houses were built and what has been done to their kitchens since: whether the cabinet opening was sized for the appliance standing in it, whether there is a dedicated circuit behind it, whether a modern hood is connected to ductwork laid for something far smaller, and — within a few blocks of the ocean — how far corrosion has got into the hinges, the fasteners and the hardware bolted to the outside of the building.
None of that is guesswork on the phone. It changes what we bring, how long we allow for getting a panel off, and whether the first thing worth checking is the appliance or the installation around it.
